Every one of our online Quran classes for kids and adults is made of short, regular lessons with the same teacher. Each lesson is 30 minutes on our listed plans, and the teacher follows one student at a time, so nothing is taught to a group.
Below you will find the main lesson types, who each one is for, what a student works on, and how to move from one to the next. If you are unsure where you fit, the free trial is where the teacher checks your level.
The main types of online Quran lessons
Most students fit one of these lesson types. Your teacher can mix two of them once the basics are steady:
| Lesson type | Best for | What the student works on |
|---|---|---|
| Noorani Qaida lessons | Complete beginners, children from about age 4, adults who cannot read Arabic yet | Arabic letters, their sounds, joining letters and short words |
| Quran reading lessons | Students who know the letters but read slowly or with mistakes | Reading from the Mushaf line by line, building fluency |
| Tajweed lessons | Fluent readers who want correct, beautiful recitation | Makharij, rules such as noon saakin and madd, applied while reading |
| Hifz program lessons | Kids and adults who want to memorize part or all of the Quran | New lesson (Sabaq), recent pages (Sabqi) and revision (Manzil) |
| Translation and meaning lessons | Students who read and want to understand what they recite | Word meanings and the message of each passage, in English |
Not sure which row you are in? Book the trial and the teacher will place you.
Lessons for Hadith, Quranic Arabic and Namaz are also available as one-on-one lessons at the same price.
Online Quran lessons for kids
Children do best with a steady routine and a teacher who knows their name and pace. Lessons for kids are explained in English, use the shared screen so the child can see the letters clearly, and end with a small task to practise before the next lesson. Our online Quran classes for kids page explains the full kids program, and for ages 3 to 5 see Quran classes for preschoolers.
- Start point: most children begin with Noorani Qaida, then move to reading.
- Parent’s role: sit nearby for the first lessons and listen to a few minutes of practice on the days between.
- Moving up: the teacher tells you when your child is ready for the next lesson type.
Online Quran lessons for adults
Adults often worry about starting late or making mistakes in front of others. In a one-on-one lesson only the teacher hears you, so you can start from the letters without embarrassment. Read learning Quran as an adult for a step-by-step plan, or Quran classes for new Muslims if you have recently embraced Islam.
Many adults choose early-morning, lunch-break or late-night lessons. We teach 24/7, 7 days a week, and you choose your own days.
What happens in a single lesson
- Revision: the student reads or recites what was taught last time.
- New portion: the teacher introduces a few new letters, lines, rules or verses.
- Practice with correction: the student reads, the teacher corrects each mistake as it happens.
- Task for next time: a short piece to practise before the next lesson.

How often should you take lessons?
Regular short lessons work better than long, rare ones, because reading and memorization grow through repetition. Our listed plans are 20 lessons a month, Monday–Friday, 30 minutes each.
If you prefer weekends, 3 days a week, longer lessons or another pattern, message our team and we’ll work out the fee for your schedule. You choose the days; the teacher keeps the same lesson plan.
Choosing your teacher
You can ask for a male or female teacher, at the same price. Sisters and young girls often prefer a female Quran teacher online. If you want a native Arabic speaker, Arab teacher packs are available: Starter 5 for $75, Core 10 for $130 and Intensive 20 for $220.
Fees for online Quran lessons
