Eid ul Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice
Eid ul Adha falls on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, during the days of Hajj. It honours Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), whose readiness to obey Allah is told in Surah As-Saffat (37:100-111), and whose son was ransomed with a great sacrifice. The Quran reminds us that it is not the meat or blood of the sacrifice that reaches Allah, but the piety of the believer (22:37).
Stories like this are how children learn faith, trust and gratitude. Our teachers share the stories of the prophets from the Quran in a warm, age-appropriate way, and connect them to the festivals and practices your family celebrates.
