One of the biggest advantages of online Quran classes with a live teacher is that the clock works for you. We teach 24/7, 7 days a week, so whether it is after school in Texas, a winter evening in Manchester or early morning in Sydney, a teacher is available. You book in your own local time and choose your days.
This guide lists the times families and adults pick most often in each country, how daylight saving and school holidays are handled, and what to tell us when you book.
USA: Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific
US families most often book straight after school, between about 4:30 and 6:30 PM local time, or in the evening after homework. Working adults like early mornings and lunch breaks.
| Your local time | Same class in… |
|---|---|
| 5:00 PM Eastern (New York) | 4:00 PM Central, 3:00 PM Mountain, 2:00 PM Pacific |
| 8:00 PM Central (Chicago) | 9:00 PM Eastern, 6:00 PM Pacific |
Each student books at their own local time; the table only shows how slots line up for families spread across states.

UK: after school and evenings
UK families usually choose 4:30–7:00 PM on school days, and many adults choose 8:00–10:00 PM. In winter, when Maghrib comes early, some families book just after it. Our online Quran classes in the UK page explains more.
Canada: from Atlantic to Pacific
Canada spans six time zones, from Newfoundland to British Columbia, but the pattern is the same: after school for children and evenings or early mornings for adults. See our online Quran classes in Canada page.
Australia: AEST, ACST and AWST
Australian students in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth often book after school or after Maghrib. Because we teach around the clock, a good slot exists whatever your zone. See our online Quran classes in Australia page.
Fitting classes around prayer times and the school day
Prayer times move through the year, so a slot that is easy in summer can clash with Maghrib or Isha in winter. Most families handle this in one of three ways: they book the class just after a prayer, they keep a fixed clock time and pray before joining, or they ask to shift the class by half an hour when the seasons change. Any of these is fine; just message our team.
Younger children usually focus best soon after school, once they have eaten and rested for a few minutes. Teenagers with heavy homework often prefer a later slot, and adults tend to choose the quietest part of their day: before work, at lunch or after the children are asleep. Because every class is one-on-one, two people in the same house can have completely different times.
If you are unsure, start with the slot that seems easiest and adjust after the free trial. Many students move their time once in the first month, and that is normal.
Daylight saving, school terms and Ramadan
- Daylight saving: your class stays at your local time when the clocks change; the teacher adjusts, not you.
- School holidays: many students keep their slot or move to a morning class; just message our team.
- Ramadan: classes can move to after Iftar or before Suhoor if that suits you better.
- Missed class: message our team to rearrange it.
